Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plans provide you with the freedom to use a dentist of your choice or access the PPO network of dentists. If you use a dentist participating in the PPO network, your out-of-pocket expenses will be reduced, as fees are subject to a negotiated rate. If you use a non-network provider, you are responsible for paying the difference in cost between the non-network provider’s charges and the allowed amount. It is recommended that any services in excess of $300 be sent to Cigna for pre-determination before services are rendered
